Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Children can sometimes ask challenging questions. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions by children, and sample responses you can share with your children.

Why are you so little?

We are all different! Just like how your toys all look different and do different things? Well, people are the same way! Some of us have bones that grow a bit slower or have different shapes, which makes them shorter or move differently. Just like how your friends have different hair colors or eye colors, we all have our special stuff. So, when you meet someone who's shorter, it's because they've got their own unique style, and that's what makes our big world super interesting! Being kind and celebrating our differences is what makes us all awesome.

How are you older than me but I am taller than you?

Taller does not always mean someone is older. That would mean that every person around you who is even a tiny bit taller would be older than you. Age is not determined by height. A person can be really short compared to you and still be much older. Height only tells us how tall you are.
